Racing with Heart: Ago Kimpian Supports BGC Okanagan
Twitch streamer and virtual car racer Ago Kimpian, also known as Ago the Avocado, is putting purpose behind the wheel.
During a 24-hour endurance race, Ago will proudly display BGC Okanagan’s logo on his virtual race car – a gesture that reflects more than sponsorship. It’s a symbol of his belief in building a kinder world for kids and youth.
His reason is deeply personal:
“When you’re a kid you’re always searching for a superhero, someone to look up to.
For me, that was my grandpa. He always saw the best in people, showed kindness at every turn, and he was always there for me.”
“Now the best way I know how to honour him is to be the same person for others. I want to be the friend who’s always there, the kind stranger who makes someone’s day, and the reminder that you’re not alone.”
Ago’s mission mirrors the heart of what we do at BGC Okanagan: creating safe, supportive spaces where young people can feel seen, valued, and inspired. Through his Twitch streams, racing, and online community, he’s building what he calls “something bigger than myself—a community based on kindness, hope, and a bit of goofiness.”
“Because we all need someone who makes us smile when things are hard.
That’s the mission, that’s my dream. To be the ‘superhero’ I needed—for someone else.”
We’re honoured to have Ago in our corner, showing young people that heroes don’t always wear capes—sometimes, they race cars, stream online, and remind us that kindness goes a long way.
