Interior Savings Moonlight Movie Drive-in Tour Coming to Penticton

(Penticton, BC, Aug. 18) – Interior Savings and BGC Okanagan are excited to announce the Moonlight Movie Drive-in Tour will be landing in Penticton at the Wholesale Club’s south side parking lot (200 Carmi Ave.) on Aug. 25 and you’re invited.

A screening of the animated film Onward will be shown on a giant inflatable screen beginning at sundown. The event will be in accordance with public health orders and will provide a fun and memorable evening for families. Tickets will be sold at for $20 per vehicle and all funds raised benefit BGC Okanagan.

“We’re delighted to partner with Interior Savings and to be a part of the Moonlight Movie Drive-in Tour. Proceeds from this event will help us deliver programs to children, youth and families in 41 service locations in the Okanagan Valley. We support healthy physical, education and social development through before and after-school programs. BGC Okanagan also provide meals, emergency shelter, family support programs and supports to children and youth at-risk,” says Richelle Leckey, Community Engagement Coordinator of BGC Okanagan.

With changing wildfire and air quality conditions throughout the province, Interior Savings and BGC Okanagan will only proceed with the event if it is safe to do so. This screening is one of five Moonlight Movie nights taking place throughout the Thompson Okanagan this summer, each benefiting a local non-profit organization.

“We’re so pleased to bring the Moonlight Movie tour back to our communities and help raise awareness and funds for local non-profit organizations,” says Kathy Conway, CEO of Interior Savings. “It’s been a challenging year, and our hope is this event will provide an opportunity for families to connect and create some wonderful memories together.”

To date, Interior Savings Moonlight Movie Tour has raised over $171,000 to support youth and mental wellness programs.
